Branden Careem Whitley, 24yoa, of Salisbury was arrested for possession of marihuana, driving revoked and driving suspended. Whitley was stopped for equipment violations related to the vehicle that he was operating. During a license check it was found that Whitley’s privilege to drive is both Revoked and Suspended. Whitley was taken into custody. Search of Whitley incident to arrest found a quantity of suspected Marihuana on his person. Whitley was released to the custody of Central Booking.

Laretia Lashawn Thompson, 19yoa, of Salisbury was arrested for theft over $500, theft less than $100, and theft scheme over $500. While working as an employee of Old Navy, Thompson did not charge customers for approximately 20 items, which totaled to $716. It was learned that the customers were friends of Thompson. None of the property was recovered. Thompson was released to the custody of Central Booking.

Lawrence Williams Jr, 25yoa, of Salisbury was arrested for obstructing, hindering, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and 2 counts of assault on a police officer. Officers responded to the 100 block of McKinley Street for a reported disturbance. On arrival officers made contact with Williams, who was in a vehicle that had the music in violation of the noise ordinance. Williams became abusive towards the officers and began to curse loudly causing area residents to stop and see what was happening. As the officers attempted to arrest Williams, he refused to comply and would not allow the officers to handcuff him. Officers were able to restrain Williams, however he continued resist and yell profanities. As Williams was being escorted to a patrol vehicle, Williams was able to push an officer to the sidewalk. Officers were able to control Williams and place him in a patrol vehicle. Williams was released to the custody of Central Booking.

Wendy Marie Strail, 23yoa, with No Fixed Address, was arrested for prostitution. Strail approached an undercover officer in the 600 block of North Salisbury Boulevard. Strail engaged in a conversation with the undercover officer in which Strail agreed to provide oral sex for an amount of U.S. Currency. Strail was released to the custody of Central Booking.

Helen Elizabeth Jones, 50yoa, of Salisbury was arrested for prostitution, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jones approached an undercover officer in the 800 block of Brown Street. Jones engaged in a conversation with the undercover officer in which Jones agreed to provide oral sex for an amount of U.S. Currency. Upon arrest, a quantity of suspected cocaine was found on Jones along with a smoking device. Jones was released to the custody of Central Booking.

Wanda Michelle McGrady, 37yoa, of Salisbury was arrested for prostitution. MvGrady approached an undercover officer in the area of Newton Street and Waverly Drive. McGrady engaged in a conversation with the undercover officer in which McGrady agreed to provide oral sex for an amount of U.S. Currency. McGrady was released to the custody of Central Booking.

John William Long, 26yoa, of Eden, Md was arrested for Possession of Marihuana, 3 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Trespass on Posted Property, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing, and Hindering. While on patrol in the 300 block of Catherine St, an officer observed Long acting in a suspicious manner behind a residence. Upon approaching Long the officer asked for identification. Long then ran from the officer and onto property that was marked with “No Trespassing” signs. After a brief foot chase, Long was apprehended. As the officer attempted to place handcuffs on Long he resisted arrest. A back up officer arrived on scene and assisted with bringing Long under control. Search of Long incident to arrest found a quantity of suspected Marihuana and related drug paraphernalia. Long was released to the custody of Central Booking.
